Babies!

I just found out the coolest news! My best friend, Aimee, is having a baby a month after me! We get to experience these next 9 months or so together. I am so excited! :o) Congratulations Aimee! I am so happy!!!
I had been wanting a pregnant "buddy" and now I got one... Yay!

We had our first ultrasound today. It was amazing to see the heartbeat. It's so hard to imagine that there's life growing inside me. What a miracle! I can't wait to hear the heartbeat next time I go to my appt.

Ok, so I was cleaning my house yesterday and decided to vacuum underneath my bed because I have a lot of dog hair under the bed. So I took the hose and started vacuuming under the bed. Then I put my head down to see what I was doing, um can you say recipe for disaster?!?! The stupid vacuum sucked my hair up. I was home all alone screaming at the top of my lungs. I managed to turn the thing off and it spat up my hair (Thank God). At that point I'm freaking out but wanted to finish what I started, but the vacuum wouldn't turn on anymore. I was kind of glad, cause now I"m terrified of the thing. For hours, I kept finding clumps of my hair that kept falling off. I actually had to cut some of it off, but I'm sure no one can tell. I have a lot of hair anyways... Now I just laugh over the whole thing, but it was very scary.. :o(

Ok, so I always said I wouldn't go overboard with baby stuff whenever I got pregnant. hahaha, well, I haven't been that bad, but come on, can you blame me?! I'm excited!
I have not bought anything yet, but Nana Rose, Auntie Viv and my co-worker Nikki have all bought something for the baby. And Mike just told me a few days ago that his grandmother is making a quilt for the baby. it's nursery rhymes themed. I can't wait to see it, she makes beautiful quilts!


Nana bought a onesie and a security blanket. Auntie Viv bought a onesie and a pig. And Nikki bought a book and a piggy rattle.

happenings...

Well, not much is new. I feel like all I ever do lately is eat and pee. hehehe... I guess I should get used to it. I've bought few maternity clothes that I found on sale because I am slowly but surely losing my clothes... My cravings, I'd have to say is mexican food! :o) I could eat that all day.

On the 24th we will have our ultrasound and hopefully see our little one. We haven't talked names or anything. We just know that if it's a boy, his name will be Jack, after Mike's late grandfather. Other than that, we have no names picked out. I like so many girl names, but Mike hasn't found any he likes. We do have a small fear that there'll be more than one baby. I'm a twin, and Mike's mom had twins. So it could happen. But who knows! We'll see...

Is it normal to be freaked out and nervous about doing anything? I'm scared to do a lot of the workouts at the gym because I don't want to endanger the baby. I'm scared of anything "ordinary" because I don't want to harm the baby. I don't know if there are things that I'm not supposed to do, but I am terrified I'll do something wrong and bring harm to my precious baby... Is that weird or wrong to feel? I know God is in control, I just keep getting scared that I'll screw up...

And also, are there no good foods out there? lol All I want to eat is green veggies, I know at least it's good for me. But literally, that's all I'm in the mood for... And I really want a Fuddrucker's burger...

Anyways, those are just my thoughts for today. Ah, yes, I have begun losing my pants. I know, I think it's too soon to lose my pants too. But I haven't changed my eating habits, and I don't feel like I've gained weight. Except for the fact that I can't close my pants. I went shopping today with my mom and sister (and Owen and Nathan).. I bought 2 pants, but will have to return one cause Mike didn't like them. I got 1 maternity shirt and 2 others that are just loose fitting, but not maternity. I'm not showing or anything yet, but I am just having a hard time fitting in some of my regular clothes... I don't want to gain a ton of weight too fast. I don't want to get huge...

So I told everyone at work today that I'm pregnant. All the kids and teachers are so excited. It was so funny cause news spread pretty quickly! But when I told my boss, she had a weird response. First she was in shock that I would be "one of those people that would want a baby"... Then she started saying how she has to pray about what she's going to do next year. How odd! She didn't seem excited at all. She said congratulations, but I could tell she didn't mean it. She was excited when other women announced their pregnancies... It just really hurt my feelings.

My kids want to see me get fat. lol It was funny...

Well, in case you haven't heard, I'M GOING TO BE A MOMMY! Wahoo!!! :o)
We found out this past Monday. I woke up before Mike and took the test. I woke him up with a beaming smile and yelled "it's positive!" lol The baby is due November 7th. We are totally excited!!!

Well, since Aimee was in town, we had a date night to catch up. And I got to meet Zach. It was a lot of fun, we stayed up talking till 1 am. Then Aimee had to go. I miss you Aimee!
