Up late...

twas 11 pm on Sunday
and all thru my house
not a creature was stirring
not even a mouse...

Just then I decided
I would go to bed
so I put on my jammies
and laid down my sleepy head

I turned off the light
ready for sleep
I closed my eyes tight
but then heard a tiny peep

Tonight was not the night
I thought that just maybe
I'd get to sleep before midnight
But different plans had my baby

Tis now 1 in the morning
a new day is beginning
this tired mama is still waiting
for her sweet baby to start dreaming...

it's been a while

It's been a long time since I've blogged. I figure no one really reads this so there's no point. haha But I'm a tad bored, avoiding chores, and the feeling of journaling led me back here.
SO here we are, it's a new year. I can't believe I have a 3 year old. AND baby sister is 1 week away from 6 months old. CRAZY! Baby sister is so good. She never lets me sleep, but other than that, she's good. :) She's started eating solids this month, she doesn't overly care too much for it yet, but we're getting there. She loves toys and is starting to want to play with sister's toys. lol She likes to play in her exersaucer, johnny jump up and play mat. She's not into her swing as much anymore so I may be putting it in storage soon. She's been teething like crazy, but no teeth yet.

This month we also got her ears pierced. She looks so cute with her diamonds :)
This was her 5 month photoshoot. Mommy just loves to take her pictures.



My big 3 year old! She thinks she's big stuff. She loves to help me and LOVES playing with her sister. If it were up to her, she'd be out every day. She loves to shop and loves target. Yeah, I'm training her right. :) We've been doing some school with her and everyday she'll say "mommy teach me something". She's known her alphabet since 18 months, she knows her colors, shapes, numbers. SO I am reviewing all that with her and working on some new stuff. I am teaching her a Bible verse a week. It's so sweet when she says it.
She's feisty and has an attitude on her. Man, terrible 2's got nothing on 3's. I have loved every stage with her but MAN some days are SO hard. She talks NON stop, my little chatterbox and somedays it feels like all I ever do is discipline her for talking back or yelling and such. But we're getting there and even on bad days she's a blast and we are blessed!

I LOVE our little family and am so thankful for God's blessings!
