Target

Anytime we want to get out of the house, we always end up in the same place, Target. It is our absolute favorite place! Big sister will always ask to go there, and then she asks for a toy. lol If I buy her something, it's from the $1 bin. Thankfully she hasn't figured out where the "real" toys are. lol She loves to help me shop and I love having a shopping buddy. :)

I keep forgetting this blog is here. That and times are busy. lol
Baby sister turned 6 months old on the 3rd. I CANNOT believe how time has flown. I look at my girls, and at times I have to swallow back tears b/c it's going by so fast. I feel like I just did this w/ big sis, and now she is 3!
But we are blessed and thankful to be chosen to be parents to these princesses!

At 6 months, baby sister is in the 75% for weight and 90% for height.
I refuse to tell people her actual weight and height. I tell close friends if they ask. But I've gotten so many comments from "dang what are you feeding her" to "you should make her do some exercise so she'll lose weight..." Yeah I actually heard that one. Can you believe it!!! SO yes, she is a big baby, but she's beautiful and God made her. Psalm 139:14 people!!!!
Both our girls have always been 90% for height. We have tall babies. Now, my firstborn was tall and skinny. Baby sister is more chunky, but I love it! :) It's all that breastmilk ;)

At 6 months, baby sister is still in our room, she does NOT sleep through the night. I know she'd be sleeping better if she had her own room. Alas, she will be sharing a room w/ sister, and we are NOT ready for that one yet. lol

On 2/12 we found her first TOOTH! Poor thing was teething hard, and now it's finally out.
She wears 6-9 month clothing, size 3 diapers. Though the diapers are a tad big, but it works. She wears size 1 shoes, and can wear some size 2, depending on where it's from.


This past month we started baby food. And I am doing something I NEVER thought I'd do. I am making my own baby food! I really enjoy it. It's a little bit more work, but it's not at all as bad as I thought. And I love the idea that what I'm feeding her is made by mommy. Just like with breastfeeding. I still refuse to give her a bottle. :) I love feeding her too much!
So far baby sister has had carrots, bananas, sweet potatoes, avocado. She HATED avocado. She LOVES sweet potatoes. I add breast milk to her food, and have to make it super mushy, otherwise she won't eat it.

We've also tried mums and puffs. She hated both. Now she does ok with the mums, but she uses it more as a gum scratcher. lol The puffs we'll hold off for a while. She didn't handle it very well and threw it all up...


Um, can I just stop here to say how much I love this girl! She lights up my life! I am so thankful God blessed me w/ 2 daughters.

Kisses for sister. They love each other so much, it's the sweetest thing to watch!


Can I just take a minute to talk about this girl? My firstborn. I can hardly believe she's 3! When did this happen? She is so amazing! Lately we've been doing "school". She will come to me and say "mommy, can you teach me something?"
We've been having a blast with it. She loves to glue stuff and loves numbers.
She talks non stop and has enough energy to outlast the energizer bunny. It wears mommy out! lol She does such a good job helping around the house and helping with her baby sister. I just love her to pieces and have enjoyed watching her grow. Today I held her in my arms and asked her to stop growing so fast. She said ok. Ah if only it were that easy...
