Ok, so I was tagged by Viv to list my 6 quirks. This is really hard, because I have so many...
1. Due to a cricket incident (5 years ago) I now cannot fall asleep until I've checked underneath my pillow. Every night I have to look under my pillow and Mike's pillows to check for bugs. lol Then I can rest easily because I know there's nothing there.
2. I HATE clutter on my tables. My hubby has the habit of stacking mail, papers, books... On top of my coffee and dining tables. It drives me insane! I don't like to have anything on any of my tables.
3. I must give myself a pedicure once a week. My toesies need to look "fresh" weekly or else it drives me crazy. Granted, these days, I am going longer than the week, but it's really hard to give myself a pedicure. lol But I really hate to have "old" polish or chipped and then wear sandals. If for some reason I cannot freshen up my toesies, I hide them in closed toe shoes.
4. At church, I always have to use the same bathroom stall. I get completely thrown off if "my" stall is taken. usually it's not, so it's waiting for me!
5. The clothes and shoes in my closet are organized by colors. My shirts are first organized by colors, then by length of sleeve. All my clothes also have to face the same way, my shoes also face the same way. The clothes in my dresser are folded by colors as well, then categorized as in "PJ's", "Tshirts" and so forth...
6. Ok, this one drives my hubby crazy. It's very rare that I'll throw the trash in the trash can in our kitchen. I usually leave it on the counter top or in the sink until my hubby throws it away for me. Why?! I hate touching the trash can. I think it's gross. But I'm working on it because my husband asked me to. :o)

Blast into the past
I keep digging through my computer and looking through old pictures. It's interesting what I find.
Nathan, 1 years old. Look how cute!
This is when my parents came to visit me after I moved to NC, 5 years ago almost to the date. Look at how little Nathan is! He was 11 here.
Another look back at Nathan, on my wedding day. This was 3 years ago, age 13.

Life has been dull
Not much has been happening in the Regina household. We are trying to start getting the nursery ready for S's arrival. She'll be here in less than 3 months. Yikes! Her furniture is ready for pick up, but the store wouldn't give it to M b/c it's in my name. So now we gotta figure out how to get someone with a truck and both of us to go at the same time. I am hoping to be able to get it this weekend.
Pregnancy is going well. I've been more tired lately, I can't make it through a day without taking a nap. That's probably because I don't sleep well at night. It's getting hard to be comfortable. The best part is feeling her move. She is a night owl, just like her daddy. So I do stay awake sometimes with her kicking and whatnot... It's all good. I'm very happy that for at least right now, she's all mine and I don't have to share her with anyone. I don't want to share when she's born, but I know I gotta get over that. I guess...
I need to try to get some pictures, but Benjamin has been so funny lately. He used to have a stuffed shark that he carried around the house and played with. He loved to play fetch. Well, the shark is at "grandma's" house (for the past 2 years) b/c she's fixing his booboos... So recently, Ben has found something else to entertain himself with. At first, I took it away from him b/c it's mine. But he's just so cute, I can't resist his face. It's a stuffed pig. He tosses it in the air, catches it, carries it around... It's hillarious. The funny thing is, he won't share the toy with Riley. And he won't play with it if I'm looking. I think he thinks he'll get in trouble. lol Yes, I know, I need a life. But I love my Ben. I call him my Fat Boy. :o) He's my cutie! He's also my cuddle bug. He loves to cuddle with mommy at night. Of course, there are the 3:30 am wake up calls when he wants to sleep on my belly. I keep telling him he won't fit, but he is stubborn. He always gives up...
Anyways, I told you life has been boring in the Regina household. I'm hoping to have some pics of the nursery within the next week or so.

Surviving the storm
Ok, so I'm a little late with posting pictures of the storm, but we just recently got our power back. On Friday morning, our neighbor's tree fell across the street, on top of our other neighbor's cars, and took out the power lines. So we had no power for over 2 days. It was awful... Thankfully Mike was home with me and we stayed bored together.
The tree that fell and took out the power lines!
Our yard!
We played Settlers of Cattan to keep from being bored.
Riley was bored too.

Baby!
I was looking through some pictures and found the ones of when Owen was born. As I looked through them, I started thinking about what it will be like when our baby comes. I am so excited! I cannot believe that in just 3 months she'll be here. It's so wild!!! I can't wait to hold her. More importantly, I can't wait to see her with her daddy.
Pictures of us holding our nephew (I can't believe it's been 2 years):

My birthday weekend!

My bruised arm!
This past Friday was my 26th birthday, well, mine and Viv's 26th birthday. My day was pretty lame, I worked all day, where I discovered my ankles had swelled up... Then at night we had dinner at a Japanese steakhouse, yum!!! Then we went to Starbucks for coffee with my family. Well, I didn't have coffee, I am addicted to the Vivanno smoothies, orange/ mango/ banana. Yummy!
Anyways, Friday was also my 28 week mark. I can't believe that in a few weeks my little girl will be here. I'm excited, but nervous at the same time. I am getting worried that I'm not doing things right and for some reason I'm terrified she'll come early. Probably because I'm not ready for her. I am getting bigger! And now my ankles are swollen and my feet are a bit swollen too. It just makes it hard to walk because it does hurt.
On Saturday, we celebrated my birthday with the inlaws. It was great! I got my chocolate cake and it was delicious. I also had my 3 hour glucose test on Saturday (I failed the first test). It was not pleasant. She had to draw my blood 4 times because that's what's required for the test. I am terrified of needles and have bad veins. Each time she stuck me, I bruised. The first time she put the needled in my left arm (on the same spot that I had the first glucose test done a week ago) she started digging in there to look for the vein. Now, I can deal with pain, and I can tell you I wanted to scream. I looked at her and she could tell I was in pain. I told her that I thought she should try the other arm, but of course she ignored me. She kept digging until she herself decided that there were no veins to be found in my left arm. So off she went to the right arm. So she stuck me and dug in that arm until she found the vein. I had to close my eyes and pray it would end soon. It hurt so bad. I then proceeded to tell her that I bruise with each prick, but she didn't believe me. Then she took the needle out put my cotton ball on there and told me to come back at the hour. I came back for the second round of torture, then she saw my bruised arm and realized that I in fact knew what I was talking about and realized that it would be hard for her to do this 3 more times. She assumed she would stick me in the same spot everytime, but realized that would be impossible. So the rest of the time she was pleasant b/c she realized that I in fact knew a thing or two about my veins... All 4 times she drew blood hurt tremendously, but it's over now. I just hope I don't have to do that again. I look like a heroin addict.
Anyways, that's the story of my birthday weekend. I ate a lot, spent time with family, suffered through some torture and got lots of good presents. Oh my hubby gave me a sewing machine, it was very sweet! So now I will learn to sew. I am very excited!!!

News of Ben!
Well, after taking Ben to the vet on Tuesday, he was still not getting better. So today Mike took him to Petsmart for a second opinion. He called me while I was at work to tell me the awful news: Ben had a Urinary Tract Infection (he's had one before), so they kept him for the day and had to hook him up to a catherer to drain his poor little bladder. The vet said it was so blocked, he couldn't relieve himself. Which explains the clean kitty litter. And it got so bad, he wasn't eating or drinking because it put more pressure on his bladder. Then he was just throwing up. So this afternoon after he had been treated we picked him up and brought him home. He ate a little bit, and we gave him his meds. We had to leave and just got back home to find more throw up. So I don't even know if he's getting better or not. I feel so bad for the little guy. We're supposed to take him back on Saturday, so we'll see what they say. I just want him to get better. I hate that he's suffering and is unable to tell us what he is feeling.
The angering part is that the first vet "diagnosed" him with a sore throat... Of course his throat is sore, he's been throwing up for a week... Argh, stupid vet!

Benjamin Franklin 2
I took Ben to the vet today and praise the Lord he is ok. Well, he has a sore throat, but he's on antibiotics now. We are just very happy that it's a minor problem and that he'll be fine in no time. You know when these things happen we always expect the worse... Thank you everyone for your prayers!

Benjamin Franklin
I just wanted to take a minute and ask everyone to please pray for our cat, Benjamin Franklin. I know some people think "oh it's just an animal," and that's fine. But Ben is our boy! We love him very much and already had to deal with some health issues with him. Now he could be sick again. He's been a little whiny lately and throwing up, a lot. So I am taking him to the vet tomorrow to check things out. If you can, please say a quick prayer for him. Mike and I really appreciate it!

Owen
A few nights ago, Vivian and Jovan finally went out on a date. The best part of it is that I get to babysit! It's my chill time with Owen. He is so cute! Whenever he sees my purse, he heads straight for it, then grabs my cell phone. He knows exactly where I keep it. Then when someone calls, he smiles, comes running and hands me the phone. How smart is that?!?! Well, we had a lot of fun hanging out. When his parents came home, he decided that he needed to teach auntie E how to clap. It was so cute. He wouldn't let me teach him, he had to teach me. And of course the whole time he was all smiles... I love that kid!

On July 26th 2004 the most wonderful man asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes! I can't believe it's been 4 years. Time flies. I remember after that day, we started planning our wedding and talking about our life together. Of course, things are a lot different than we had "planned" but it's ok, it's even better! And now, I can't believe one of our dreams is coming true, we're going to be parents. It's so wild to think about how much life has changed for us. And I wouldn't trade it for the world!
