end of the week...

We are getting ready for a big birthday this week!  Baby sister will be 1 on Friday.  Oh how she makes my heart melt!!!
This year has been a blur!!!  I'm not sure what we're doing on Friday, but on Saturday we will be having family over for a small celebration.  I'm super excited!

She has changed SO much and grown so much just this past week.  She has been saying mama and dada for a while, but now her favorite word is daddy.  Sigh...  She now signs "eat" though she doesn't do it the "correct" way she knows how to tell us at least. lol  And she signs and says "all done" and it is SO cute.  Again, she doesn't exactly sign it "the correct" way.  But she's close and doing it her "own" way is so stinking cute!!!!

Looking back on this day is so bittersweet.  I LOVE the age she's in now.  She's weaning from breastfeeding, she is communicating more, almost walking and overall becoming more independent.  I love watching her learn, watching her play w/ sissy.  But oh what a blur this year was, it makes me sad at how fast it went and how fast she's growing.  But I am reminded that she's growing into a healthy little girl and I'm super thankful for that! 

My heart

My heart is always so full!  God has blessed so much, and when I look at these 2 little precious faces, I get this overwhelming joy.  They are so amazing!  The girls just love each other, I love watching them together.  I know they won't always get along, but I know they'll always love each other.  I'm so thankful they have each other.

Aren't they just beautiful?  Oh how they make my heart melt.  I just LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! 

Baby girl's dedication

Last night baby sis was dedicated at our church.  We stood (along w/ 20 other families) and committed our children to the Lord.  We were reminded that baby sis belongs to the Lord.  Baby dedications are always super emotional for me.  I'm not exactly sure why, they just are.  I cried when both girls were dedicated.  Most of our family came last night, it meant a lot to have their support.  My dad sat next to me and held his youngest grandchild, he seemed so proud. :)

A friend took this pic of big sis and I thought it was super cute.  She is so amazing and I just love her so.  She loves to dance, twirl, sing, comics, coloring, drawing... She is a daddy's girl.  I love when she says "mommy I want you to hold me".  We had our first movie date last week, daddy has always been the one to take her.  I got to cuddle with her for 2 hours :)  She loves to help me with sissy.
There is just something special about your firstborn.  I love her to pieces and am so thankful for my little tomboy princess. :)

Tonight we went to dinner at CFA as cows and got free dinner.  It was so fun :)

 We were given this cute cow costume a few weeks ago and put it to good use today.  She loved being a cow. lol

This Friday is the Chik fil a cow day- Dress up like a cow and get a free meal. :)  We are almost ready for it.

Papa gave us a flower sprinkler, at first I did not like that idea.  I hate being outside and didn't think it would be used... BUT we set it up, and both girls LOVE it!  I do too :)  All we need now is a little kiddie pool and we can be set for this awful summer heat!

our 4th

We spent our 4th of July with friends.  We all cooked and got fireworks and had a blast!  Our friends each have 3 kids, so there were 8 kids combined and they all get along so well! :)

11 months and more

A lot has been happening here... We had VBS last week, big sis started swimming lessons last week, we are planning a 1st birthday party (yikes) and more...

Big sis had swimming lessons last week and this week.  She's been doing so well!  I can't wait till the end of the week to see her progress. :)  She would live in the water if she could. lol

And here is my big 11 month old.  I CANNOT believe we're 1 month away from her 1st birthday.  She has grown up so much this past week.  This past week she started pulling up, taking steps, cruising around, she's getting more and more vocal.  

She says momom and dada.  We're working on sissy. :)  

My sweet girl is still such a mama's girl and I love it.  She loves sweet cuddles from mommy!  She's still wearing some 9 months clothes, but is mainly in 12 months clothes.  She's in size 3 shoes, though she hates shoes, size 3 diapers.

She wakes up 1-2x a night to nurse.  We'll work on weaning after her 1st birthday.  She has been eating lots of new foods.  She LOVES watermelon, strawberries, carrots, sugar snap peas and more. :) I love how much she loves food.
