Happy Birthday to my MOM!!!!!

Today is my mom's birthday. So I wanted to take a minute and wish her a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Not only is she a great mom, but she is one of my best friends. We can talk about anything and everything. She always worked hard to take care of us and to make sure she could spoil us :) I'm so thankful to have her as a mom. I remember growing up, she would come in my room, well my twin and I shared a room, so our room and just hang out with us... She has always been just one of the girls and so goofy! She always makes me laugh.

Mom, I'm so thankful for all you did and continue to do for our family. I love you!!!!!

Please pray

Dr. Frank is a dear friend of the family, he's like our grandfather. On Sunday he fell and was rushed to the ER. Doctors found
subdural hematoma (collection of blood on the surface of the brain, which causes pressure on the brain and may lead to death).
The doctors told his wife to call his children so they could see him before they did brain surgery on Wednesday. They were able to remove the blood and today he is awake and alert. He is still in ICU and no visitors are allowed.
Please, please keep him in your prayers!!!!

I forgot

I forgot to do my post about valentine's day. That Friday, I went out and bought 2 stuffed cats for baby girl (she loves cats) and 2 books (she loves books). That was her valentine's gift. Then on Saturday, daddy went out and came back with a single red rose and a balloon (she loves balloons) for his little valentine. It was SO special, he thought of it all on his own. It just melted my heart. Mommy also got a great valentine gift. He surprised me with my very favorite flowers, tulips. And my favorite chocolate. It was very sweet and very unexpected! :)

I have the most awesome husband ever and I'm so thankful for him. I am thankful that my husband is truly my best friend and he's a wonderful father.

Break out the bubbly!

Last night was cause for celebrations! We've spent the past 2 1/2 years paying off a personal loan that we had to take out. It was not something we could've helped, and we hated having that loan. But we worked hard, extra jobs, threw everything extra we had to pay off the loan quickly, and last night we FINALLY paid off the remaining balance and now we are FREE!!!!! We celebrated with sparkling grape juice. :) We are on our way to becoming debt free. All we have now is his student loan and the house. It's such a freeing feeling and we are very exciting to see some progress.

Life is never boring with a toddler!

Well, my days are never dull... My little princess sure keeps me busy, and I love it! She's learning a new word almost daily. Yesterday I taught her "yuck". I didn't mean to, I was in my room putting laundry away and she picked up one of my shoes. Well, I find that people's shoes, socks and feet are gross and she should not touch any of it, on anyone! So I automatically said, "put that down, it's yuck!"... Then she starts, "yuck, yuck..." It was funny... Today I said "hey" to her and now she's been saying it all day. It sure is keeping me on my toes. Hubby and I have started being more careful with what we watch and listen to when she's around. She is just so smart and keeps wanting to learn more and more.

Today she actually sat still with mommy and we watched Leap Frog's Word Factory. She loves it! I think it's cute, but I am so sick of it! lol BUT it's not about me... She has also been attached to her baby doll, hubby named her Fable. Fable is usually right by baby girl's side. She even slept w/ her one night. And she pushes the baby stroller all around the house, all day long! It's so cute. I can hear her now, pushing that thing back and forth.. It's also so cute when I'm cooking dinner, she goes into her kitchen and gets one of her pans and spoons and comes to "cook" with mommy. :) I can't wait till she and I can cook dinners together. I have tried to get her to help me bake a cake, but batter went EVERYWHERE, so we will wait a bit longer...

The cutest thing she does all day is when daddy comes home from work. She hears the car pulling up the driveway and runs to the backdoor, waiting and squealing in delight... As soon as daddy opens the door she starts "up, up" and won't stop until he picks her up... It's really cute!

I love this age she's in. It just gets more and more fun!

15 months

Baby girl turned 15 months old yesterday. I thought that from birth to 12 months time went by fast, but now it feels like it's even faster. She is learning so much and is so curious. Last week she learned the words, duck, shoe, sock and shirt. She loves shoes, anytime she sees a pair of shoes she wants to put it on. :) Ah a woman after my own heart! Her vocabulary is increasing daily. Her 2 favorite words, "up" and "daddy". lol She says mommy a lot, but man everything is "daddy". So sweet! Yesterday daddy taught her 2 words, "sit" and "eat".
At 15 months:
-She wears size 4 shoes (just started)
-Still in size 2 diapers, although we're going to move her up next time we buy diapers.
- Wears size 18 month clothes
- knows several words: mommy, daddy, cat, kitty, doggie, up, shoe, sock, duck, hi, bye, book, Ellie (mom's dog), baby, eat, sit... I am sure I'm leaving some out, but it's hard to keep up. :)
-Your favorite toys for the time being: any phone, your kitchen, books, and the ball popper.
-You love to dance to music
-Sometimes the only thing that calms you down is listening to Taylor Swift on youtube or the Ting Tings.
-You are so active!
- You are a sponge, so eager to learn and soak up as much as possible. You are very curious and learn so fast!!

It has been an amazing 15 months, I love watching you grow! :)
